With this addition we added space to the left of the original home. With a large family more space was critical. Upstairs we added 3 new bedrooms and a bath, downstairs was another bedroom and study/flex space that could be used as another bedroom if needed or as a place for the kids to be homeschooled and have access to computers for homework. In addition the homeowner decided that the original reverse gable was too small so we enlarged it to bring the front of the home into visual balance. At the same time the homeowner upgraded his existing HVAC system to a new geothermal unit for a warmer house and improved energy efficiency.
